Third Place, Granada Hills
What's up 3rd place?! Ugh, I'm so so so glad all that hard work paid off. Santini was right, it really does take the third year to really come together. Can you imagine? From "Off the charts" or 27th to freaking 3rd in two years? I'm so proud of my girls, you don't even know.
And I can't even begin to put in words how unbelievably successful that Saturday was. I thought it was wayyy too much to handle. Oh my. Let me tryyy, haha.
So tell me why I woke up at like 3:45 in the a.m? -___- And I don't remember if I was on the phone or not, haha. But then I fell asleep eventually. And then I woke up again like at 5:30! Ridiculous. But by then I know I was on the phone with Justin, I just don't know how I got there. He told me I needed to sleep so I triiied. And I woke up at 8:30. Which is totally fine. And then I got ready and all. My momma & I went to ze bank & hit up Ralphs for some snacks over there. Snacks I didn't even eat -_- But! I did get my peppermint water, yum. And so then we go to the schoool. And then fast forward all the boring parts just waiting, we finallly leave. Tell me why it was the most fun on the way there. Haha not even leaving the valley, Silva wants gum and snacks so Melanie and I bust a mission to the trunk to get all our shit while we're waiting for Alexis to catch up. Hahaha. Yeah and the rest of the ride there was real fun too. So we get there and we have no time to waste so we start doing hair & getting dressed. I had to do some people's teasing haha. I failed but it's a-okay! And thennn I was finished getting ready and baby was already there. I needed to give him the camera before we went to warm up. But I had to wait for Melanie 'cause she wanted to meet him. And tell me why it was a mission to find him. Oh my. And so I found him, and I felt kinda bad 'cause I pretty much ruined the cuteness of it. He brought me roses, cutesies. But I pretty much dumped all of my stuff on him: my letterman's, my camera, my phone, my chapstick, and I handed him back the roses. Hahaha. So we went to warm up and then I was our turn to get ready. So we have this rule not to watch the other teams to freak us out so we were just dancing behind the door to the other team's music. Haha it was most fun. Then we performed and oh my. The floor was the most slippery thing ever! It was real annoying, I must've lost my footing like three times, no joke. But it was all good, I think we did real well for our first competition. Afterrr we went inside and I found my beeezy. We just sat and talked & watched. We went out for funnel cake haha. Baby's got the best turn out without even trying, oh my. I'm almost jealous. Anyyyway, when we went inside, we sat with the rest of the team. Tell me why it's so hard to eat funnel cake. It was not the business. Embarrassing, hahaha. Then after all the soloists, I was gonna walk Justin out, but the team was coming too to get their bags. So I walked him out & it was pretty cute, i won't lie. Like not even the kinda cute I usually make fun of him for, haha. It was thaaat cute. And then I walked in the locker room to get my bag and I had the roses and everyone's like "Ooh Lauren! Who are they from?! OMG OMG, cute cute!" Hahaha. We got everything ready and went inside, put our things down. Sarah wanted to do drill downs and I was like "Fiiine, if I must" We failed epically during the trial thing. I forgot what it's called. Hahaha it was funnny. And then when the real thing came on, when they started to march, I was doing it alright then I was like "ah, fuck it" and just sat down. But the team kept telling me to stand back up. But I don't remember the "to the right plank march" shit. Hahaha. So theeeen they announced awards. Omg, we got third. We don't even know who got second or first, we were so busy freaking out. Haha.
So the ride home was successful as well. I got home around 9ish & I had presents waiting for me! Can you believe? I got this blanket from my Ninang Linda, it is the softest thing & it matches the motif of the room. Haha. And then Tita Pearl got me a keychain & pencil pouch from Australia. Cute. Then my parents said I could go out for celebration! Score. So we ended up at Guzman's and that was fun. But not as exciting haha so I won't go into detail. I got home at like 1am exactly and got ready for bed. Called my bitch up & then knocked out. I don't know how though. Haha oh welll.
